Purdue Extension Office

The Purdue Extension Office has great resources on their Master Gardener Program and lots of great gardening tips and tricks. They also have information on growing various plants and local pests that may be inhabiting your gardens.

Chicago Botanic Garden

This is an amazing garden located in northern Chicago. It has wonderful gardens and amazing structures. There vegetable and fruit orchard area is amazing. There website has many links to great resources for gardeners.

Missouri Botanical Garden

This is a wonderful garden and has an amazing website. The page for Helping the Home Gardener is packed with great information from planting bulbs to shrubs to planting vegetables. Highly recommend this site for information.

Tropicos® was originally created for internal research but has since been made available to the world’s scientific community. All of the nomenclatural, bibliographic, and specimen data accumulated in MBG’s electronic databases during the past 25 years are publicly available here. This system has over 1.2 million scientific names and 4.0 million specimen records.
